Evelyn Middleton

President & CEO

Evelyn Middleton is the mother of the mother-daughter team that opened Avancé Moving & Storage. Ellen M. Schweitzer is the daughter half of the team. Evelyn grew up in Palos Verdes, California, & attended the University of Puget Sound, where she got her bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

After graduating with a Business Management degree from the University of Puget Sound, Evelyn Middleton began her career in 1984 at her third-generation family-owned business, Texas Plywood and Lumber Company. Evelyn worked her way up in the company by starting in orders, and when the company needed a Human Resources Manager, she stepped up to the plate and taught herself the intricacies of Human Resources Management.

Evelyn has a huge passion for horses and has stakes in racehorses with Mojo Racing Partners & also breeds & sells hunter & jumper horses with FM Sporthorses. Evelyn loves listening to The Ticket radio station, going to Americana concerts & shows, & gardening in her backyard. Besides her two daughters, Ellen & Charlotte, her other loves are her three cats, Pickle, Craig, & Pineapple.

Ellen M. Schweitzer

Ellen M. Schweitzer is the daughter of the mother-daughter team that opened Avancé Moving & Storage. Evelyn Middleton is the mother half of their team. Ellen was born and raised in the DFW metroplex. She attended Texas State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in business management with a concentration in entrepreneurship. Directly after college, Ellen earned her real estate license & created Blue Spruce Properties with Evelyn. Blue Spruce Properties was a real estate investment company that “flipped” houses & had rental properties. Ellen still finds passion in interior design and in keeping up with the DFW real estate market.

Ellen loves listening to audiobooks, playing volleyball, & enjoying time with friends & family. She also enjoys walking from her house down to the Bishop Arts District. Her other loves are her dogs Remington, Rabbit, Finnegan, & their cat, Stella.

Ramiro Mendoza

Warehouse Manager

Ramiro Mendoza started out in the luxury moving & storage industry at a very young age. Ramiro and his brother, Fabian Mendoza, began their journey into the luxury moving & storage business at Heritage Auction House, where they learned to handle high-end art & antiquities. Using his almost photographic memory, Ramiro is able to remember where items have been stored & who they are stored for. He can even remember the exceptions on those items, usually, without having to look them up. Ramiro & his brother, Fabian, were both key to opening and shaping Avancé into what it is today. With their unwavering perseverance & outstanding work ethic, Avancé has become a major player in the luxury moving & storage industry.

Ramiro is an avid sports fan & is a coach to his two youngest kids’ soccer teams, Milo & Selena. Ramiro’s older daughters, Odalis and Jackie, even have soccer scholarships to Paul Quinn College. Jackie was also the kicker for her High School Football Team at Hutchins High School and had her number retired.

Fabian Mendoza

Transportation Manager

Fabian Mendoza practically grew up in the moving and storage industry. Fabian started his career at Heritage Auction House, where he learned how to handle high-end art & antiquities. From early on, Fabian’s attention to detail & near photographic memory of the moves he has performed set him apart from his peers. Fabian started out as a basic helper & has worked his way up through the ranks to become Avancé’s Transportation Manager. Fabian & his brother, Ramiro Mendoza, were both key to opening and shaping Avancé into what it is today. With their unwavering perseverance & outstanding work ethic, Avancé has become a major player in the luxury moving & storage industry.

Fabian is an avid gardener and bike rider. He loves to ride his Peloton & occasionally rides outside on his standard bike with his wife, Nancy. Fabian & Nancy have a son, Fabian Jr., who is also working at Avancé.
